About The Position

A Stevedore / Laborer performs manual and equipment-assisted work supporting terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations. Tasks include loading and unloading, material handling, and basic maintenance. The role ensures work is completed safely and efficiently and complies with company procedures and safety standards. The position is based at 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015, starts at $17.00 per hour, and involves 12-hour shifts with no set schedule, including day or night shifts and weekend shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Work effectively as part of a team, follow directions, and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance, dependability, and high performance standards.
• Be able to perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Follow company standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety principles.
• Read, write, and communicate in English; understand basic math; and apply instructions with good judgment.
• Work a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, and be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Meet applicable reporting, testing, and certification requirements for the position and location.
• HAZMAT.

Responsibilities

• Support daily terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations.
• Communicate with superintendents, foremen, and management to determine staffing needs and prioritize workflow.
• Operate and maintain equipment used to transfer materials between silos, railcars, barges, and vessels.
• Support communication between drivers, warehouse teams, and management using radios and digital systems.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, PPE policies, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, and other operational duties as assigned to support terminal and vessel efficiency.
