The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the preparation of standard and specialty instruments for the operating room. The SPT is responsible for sorting, inspecting for damage, general maintenance, ensuring sterility and assembly of instruments according to scheduled surgeries. The SPT is also responsible for packaging/wrapping instruments for the ASC, operate and troubleshoot specialized cleaning and sterilizing equipment. This position generally works four days per week Monday-Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Flexibility in schedule is needed from time to time in order to meet business goals and provide exceptional patient service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Operating Room Instrument Sterilization experience preferred.

  • Cleaning and sterilizing of medical equipment

  • Maintain documentation of sterilization to ensure safety and compliance
