About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support Surgical Services by ensuring the proper cleaning, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures, instrumentation, sterilization equipment, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) Certification
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR Certification
Knowledge of sterile processing equipment, washers, and autoclaves
Experience with surgical instrumentation and power equipment
Strong understanding of sterilization procedures and infection prevention standards
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical services environment

Responsibilities

Operate sterile processing equipment including washers and steam autoclaves
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
Prepare procedural trays and instrument sets for surgical and clinical use
Verify and document missing instruments according to department procedures
Inspect instruments and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
Maintain accurate sterilization records and sterilizer test documentation
Operate and maintain autoclaves while documenting loads and maintenance activities
Support operating room personnel with instrument and equipment needs
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standards
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate recommendations
Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities
Perform additional duties as assigned
