About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained for safe use in various clinical settings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Proficiency in decontamination, low-temperature sterilization, steam sterilization, and instrument assembly is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records system: Censitrac.
- Experience with sterilization equipment, including STERIS Evolution, Vpro x3, Sonics x2, and various washers and autoclaves.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care settings preferred; ambulatory experience will be considered.
- CRCST certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct decontamination and low-temperature sterilization processes.
- Perform steam sterilization and instrument assembly tasks.
- Collaborate with the department's manager, supervisor, lead technicians, and educators to uphold departmental standards.
