About The Position

Sterile Processing Technician Schedule Shifts available: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, with call/lates and weekend requirements 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with call/lates and weekend requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Central Sterile/Sterile Processing experience
• Prior travel experience is required
• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA is mandatory
• BLS certification is required

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and other medical equipment following manufacturer’s Instructions For Use (IFU).
• Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize medical devices in compliance with manufacturer’s IFUs.
• Operate automated washers, ultrasonic cleaners, cart washers, and sterilizers according to manufacturer’s IFUs.
• Inspect surgical instruments during tray assembly to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Prepare surgical case carts for add-ons and emergency cases as needed.
• Effectively communicate with other staff members to facilitate instrument and supply needs in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of all areas of the department, signing off on cleaning logs and product out-dates.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the functions of the department.
