Sterile Processing Supervisor FT Evenings
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor for its Sterile Processing Department. The supervisor ensures surgical instrumentation is properly decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked throughout the hospital in an accurate and timely manner. The role works independently with little supervision and serves as a resource to Sterile Processing staff and customers. This is a full-time position working five 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The hospital is located in New Albany, Indiana, in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of sterile processing experience.
- Certification from any combination of the two organizations HSPA or CBSPD.
Responsibilities
- Ensure surgical instrumentation is decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked accurately and on time throughout the hospital.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Serve as a resource to Sterile Processing staff and customers.
