Steel Welder
About The Position
We're looking for a Welder who knows their way around a torch and takes pride in a strong, clean bead. This is for a second shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. As a key member of our in-house steel fabrication shop, you’ll work on a variety of structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Requirements
- Experience operating shop equipment, welding, and burning
- Experience with structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication
- High school diploma or GED
- Candidates must be willing to join Local Union 851 if hired
- Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the U.S. without further visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Read shop drawings for weld symbols and application of welds to make sure the work meets the customer's specifications
- Team up with the Fitter to assemble and fabricate steel
- Keep your area on the shop floor clean, organized, and safe
