Requirements

Completion of a Steamfitter or Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program (union preferred)
Active membership in, or ability to join, the local Steamfitters Union
Ability to read blueprints is required
Minimum 5 years of experience working with industrial/commercial boiler systems
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

Understanding of high-pressure steam systems is preferred

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, maintain, and repair boilers and associated equipment.
Continuously monitor system performance to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
Identify and resolve mechanical and system issues using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and steam systems.
Ensure full compliance with CSD1 regulations, state boiler codes, and union safety standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Collaborate with engineers and plant personnel to optimize system performance.
Respond effectively to emergency calls and system shutdowns.
