Requirements

  • Completion of a Steamfitter or Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program (union preferred)
  • Active membership in, or ability to join, the local Steamfitters Union
  • Ability to read blueprints is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with industrial/commercial boiler systems
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of high-pressure steam systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, maintain, and repair boilers and associated equipment.
  • Continuously monitor system performance to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and system issues using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and steam systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with CSD1 regulations, state boiler codes, and union safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and plant personnel to optimize system performance.
  • Respond effectively to emergency calls and system shutdowns.
