About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead our Lego Robotics & Robocoding program for PreK-6th grade students. This role involves teaching students from August to October on Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at our North Myrtle Beach location. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on learning experiences in a fun and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a PreK-6th grade range.
- Knowledge of STEAM concepts, particularly Lego Robotics and basic coding principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Reliable and punctual.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
- Experience with specific Lego robotics platforms (e.g., Mindstorms, WeDo).
- Familiarity with various robocoding platforms.
- Background in education or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct students in Lego Robotics and Robocoding.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with program goals.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to students.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
