We are looking for Steakhouse Cook to join our team. This role ensures consistent preparation standards, proper food handling, and adherence to Health Department sanitation guidelines. The Steakhouse Cook supports an efficient kitchen operation by maintaining clean work areas, organizing prep, and following established culinary procedures. Requirements

  • Previous cook experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must meet eligibility requirements under the Transfer & Promotion Policy.
  • Must complete all required alcohol awareness, food safety, and sanitation training certifications as required by The Nash.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes, measurements, quantities, and preparation procedures to ensure consistent execution of all menu items.
  • Actively participate in training to become fully familiar with recipes, techniques, and culinary standards.
  • Produce all prep items and dishes according to approved specifications.
  • Position, arrange, and garnish food items in accordance with recipe guidelines and plating standards.
  • Break down prep and cooking areas at the end of each meal period; ensure proper storage of all products.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of all food products and ingredients used throughout the steakhouse menu.
  • Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping, freshness, and sanitation compliance.
  • Report product shortages, quality concerns, or stock needs to kitchen management immediately.
  • Follow all sanitation and food-safety protocols throughout prep, cooking, and service.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new Team Members when requested.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team.
