About The Position

The State Tested Nursing Assistant provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and attention to residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The role performs direct resident care in accordance with each resident’s care plan and supervisor direction, follows health, sanitary, and infection-control policies, and maintains the standards of practice established by the community’s administration and nursing policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned by community representatives.

Requirements

Have current nursing assistant certification in good standing in the applicable state registry, or otherwise meet the state’s legal requirements to work as a nursing assistant.
Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe environment for residents.
Give residents emotional and social support.
Attend to residents’ physical needs and comfort.
Perform direct care as assigned, in accordance with residents’ care plans and supervisor direction.
Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies.
Maintain the standards of practice established by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
Perform other duties as directed by representatives of the community.
