About The Position

The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher instructs 4-year-old children according to each child’s needs and program requirements. The role supports children’s preparation for Kindergarten and beyond through daily care, observation and assessment, communication with families, and engaging learning experiences.

The Assistant Teacher follows licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements; develops skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children; completes training on childcare, preschool, and child development; and implements curriculum through fun, interactive activities. The role requires engaging with children indoors and outdoors and participating in physical activity with them.

Requirements

• An associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or a related field.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate approach to the work.
