About The Position

The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, assessing, and instructing according to each child’s needs and program requirements. The role focuses on preparing preschool children for Kindergarten and beyond through engaging learning experiences, classroom leadership, and supportive family relationships. The Lead Teacher also mentors fellow Teachers and ensures classroom practices align with licensing guidelines, company standards, and Pre-K program requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a related field.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, and instruct based on each child’s needs and program requirements.
• Develop fun, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the classroom.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Maintain expertise in licensing guidelines, company standards, and Pre-K program requirements.
• Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
