Requirements

  • Current Virginia State Safety Inspector License
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership experience
  • ASE Certifications (preferred but not required)
  • Nissan experience is a plus
  • Experience using dealership management systems
  • Ability to diagnose drivability, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical concerns
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform Virginia State Safety Inspections in accordance with Virginia State Police regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, battery replacement, and fluid services.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings.
  • Recommend maintenance and repair needs through accurate inspection reports.
  • Maintain productivity while meeting dealership quality standards.
  • Utilize factory diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
  • Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, dealership, and manufacturer safety guidelines.
