Requirements
- Current Virginia State Safety Inspector License
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Automotive dealership experience
- ASE Certifications (preferred but not required)
- Nissan experience is a plus
- Experience using dealership management systems
- Ability to diagnose drivability, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical concerns
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Perform Virginia State Safety Inspections in accordance with Virginia State Police regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, battery replacement, and fluid services.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Recommend maintenance and repair needs through accurate inspection reports.
- Maintain productivity while meeting dealership quality standards.
- Utilize factory diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
- Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, dealership, and manufacturer safety guidelines.
