About The Position
Jim Coleman Automotive is seeking an experienced Maryland Licensed State Inspector to join its Bethesda campus and reconditioning team. The role performs Maryland State Safety Inspections and supports a high-volume service and reconditioning operation. The position offers steady work and opportunities to grow within an established automotive group.
Requirements
- Current Maryland State Inspector license.
- Automotive technician or service experience.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work on multiple vehicle brands.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Toyota or Nissan training or certification.
- Additional ASE or manufacturer certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in accordance with state requirements.
- Inspect vehicles for safety, mechanical, and operational concerns.
- Identify and document necessary repairs.
- Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Support used vehicle and reconditioning operations.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production shop.
- Maintain accurate inspection and repair documentation.
- Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures.
- Work on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
