About The Position

This position is responsible for directing the organization, administration and activities of the Bureau of Enterprise Services, including oversight of all budgetary functions and information technology services. Overseeing the management of Treasury information technology projects, this position will serve as the information technology project manager on behalf of the Treasury Executive Office for all Treasury IT projects and will oversee and guide the State Division Administrator of the Budget Division regarding the related information on technology services budget. This position works heavily with the Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) staff on timelines, budget and processes.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Two years of professional managerial experience.
  • Work must be performed in the state of Michigan.
  • For State of Michigan residents, this position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and must work onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • The selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time.
  • Remote work is not available if the selected candidate resides outside of the State of Michigan.
  • The Michigan Department of Treasury participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
  • The use of artificial intelligence (AI) software is prohibited.

Nice To Haves

  • Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement supervisory experience at the 14 level; or, two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement supervisory experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
