About The Position
Frazier & Deeter is seeking an experienced State and Local Tax (SALT) Sales Tax Consulting Senior Manager to help further develop and expand its SALT practice. The role calls for strong technical expertise in multistate sales and use tax and practical experience supporting companies with complex SALT challenges. It offers opportunities for client service, business development, leadership, and career advancement. The position is marked as remote.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least 7 years of progressive SALT tax consulting experience.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Computer expertise, including knowledge of tax software and technology.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- CPA, JD, CMI, or Enrolled Agent credential preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales and use tax services, including registrations and tax compliance, taxability decision matrices, voluntary disclosures, tax research, technical memorandums, client correspondence, nexus studies, refund recovery studies, and assistance with state sales tax audits.
- Apply understanding of complex tax and accounting concepts and technical expertise to client situations.
- Serve as a thought leader in the Frazier & Deeter SALT practice and stay current on developments affecting clients.
- Participate in staff recruiting and supervise, mentor, and develop staff-level team members.
- Generate new business and develop the client base across Frazier & Deeter service groups by identifying client needs and service offerings.
- Attend professional development and training seminars regularly.
