About The Position

Frazier & Deeter is seeking an experienced State and Local Tax (SALT) Sales Tax Consulting Manager to help develop and expand its SALT practice. The role focuses on multistate sales and use tax consulting for companies facing complex SALT challenges. It offers opportunities to provide impactful client service, develop business, lead and mentor staff, and advance professionally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of progressive tax consulting experience in SALT.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
• Computer expertise, including knowledge of tax software and technology.
• Strong technical expertise in multistate Sales and Use Tax.

Nice To Haves

• CPA, JD, CMI, or Enrolled Agent credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales and use tax services, including registrations and tax compliance, taxability decision matrices, voluntary disclosures, tax research, technical memorandums, client correspondence, nexus studies, refund recovery studies, and assistance with state sales tax audits.
• Apply an understanding of complex tax and accounting concepts and technical expertise to client situations.
• Serve as a thought leader in the F&D SALT practice and stay informed about developments affecting clients in SALT.
• Participate in staff recruiting and supervise, mentor, and develop staff-level team members.
• Help generate new business and develop the client base by identifying client needs and service offerings.
• Attend professional development and training seminars regularly.
