About The Position

RHA Health Services is hiring for a START Resource Center Supervisor/Director for a Crisis Respite facility in Statesville, NC. This role involves coordinating respite services within the START Program (Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resource, and Treatment) to provide community-based intervention and prevention services for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health care needs. The program emphasizes integrated care and treatment through team collaboration. Services include collaborative contacts, after-hour contacts, emergency team meetings, and both planned and emergency respite. Requirements

  • Qualified Developmental Disability Professional
  • Possess strong supervisory skills
  • Direct support experience with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities diagnosis
  • Experience with crisis management and counseling
  • Excellent communicator
  • Cooperative team player
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Education: Bachelor Degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served OR Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served OR Master’s Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served
  • License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession
  • Complete criminal background check
  • Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the coordinator for respite services in the START Program
  • Provide community based intervention and prevention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health care needs
  • Conduct collaborative contacts, after hour contacts, emergency team meetings, planned respite and emergency respite
  • Interview the people we serve to learn about their interests and goals, even individuals who cannot communicate verbally
  • Develop and disseminate person-centered plans
