About The Position

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink high-speed satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. The role includes helping customers get online and showing them how to use their new service. The position offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with opportunities to develop skills, take on more complex work, and increase earning potential.

Training/base pay is $20.00 per hour, increasing by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After training, employees receive a guaranteed hourly rate of $25.00 through their first nine months. If post-training base pay plus bonuses and commissions do not reach that rate, pay is increased to meet the guarantee. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid training and ongoing support are provided.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; lodging and per diem are covered by SSI.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Starlink satellite internet equipment for customers.
• Help customers get online and demonstrate how to use their new service.
• Offer customers additional products and services during installations.
• Develop technical and customer service skills and progress toward Senior Technician and Master Technician roles.
