About The Position
As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink high-speed satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. You will help customers get online and show them how to use their new service. The role offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with opportunities to develop technical and customer skills, take on more complex work, and increase earning potential. Training and base pay start at $19.00 per hour. The base rate increases by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After completing training, employees receive a guaranteed hourly rate of $23.00 through their first nine months. If base pay, bonuses, and commissions do not reach the guaranteed rate, pay is increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Clear background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record.
Responsibilities
- Install and service Starlink satellite internet equipment.
- Help customers get connected and explain how to make the most of their new service.
- Offer customers additional products and services during installations.
- Progress toward senior and master technician roles, taking on more complex work and expanding skills across partner products and services.
