About The Position

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. You will help customers get online and explain how to use their new service. The role offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with increasing skills, responsibilities, and earning potential. Training/base pay is $19.00 per hour, increasing by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After training, the guaranteed hourly rate is $23.00 per hour through the first nine months. If the post-training base rate plus bonuses and commissions do not reach the guaranteed rate, pay will be increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid training and ongoing support are provided.

Requirements

Strong technical knowledge.
Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; lodging and per diem are covered by SSI.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check.

Responsibilities

Install and service Starlink satellite internet equipment.
Help customers get online and show them how to use their new service.
Offer customers additional products and services during installations.
Progress toward more complex work and broader product and service certifications as a Senior or Master Technician.
