About The Position

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. The role involves installing equipment, helping customers get online, and explaining how to use their new service. It offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with opportunities to develop technical and customer-service skills, take on greater responsibility, and increase earnings. Training and support are provided. Training pay is $20.00 per hour, and the base rate increases by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After training, the guaranteed hourly rate is $25.00 through the first nine months; if base pay plus bonuses and commissions fall below that rate, pay is increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses.

Requirements

Strong technical knowledge.
Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong time management skills.
Clear background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

Install and service Starlink satellite internet equipment.

Offer customers additional products and services during installs.
