Starlink Installation Technician
About The Position
As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink satellite internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. The role also involves helping customers get online and explaining how to use their new service. The position offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with increasing skills, responsibilities, and earning potential. Training and base pay are $17.00 per hour, with a $0.50 base-rate increase after 60 days of employment. After completing training, employees receive a guaranteed hourly rate of $20.00 per hour through their first nine months. If post-training base pay plus bonuses and commissions do not reach that guaranteed rate, pay will be increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Clear background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record.
Responsibilities
- Install and service Starlink equipment.
