About The Position

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you install and service Starlink, a high-speed satellite internet service connecting homes in rural and underserved communities. The role includes helping customers get online and showing them how to use their new service. It offers a career path to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with increasing skills, responsibilities, and earning potential.

Training and base pay start at $17.00 per hour. The base rate increases by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After completing training, the position guarantees an hourly rate of $20.00 through the first nine months. If the post-training base rate plus bonuses and commissions do not reach that guaranteed rate, pay is increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses. Paid training and ongoing support are provided.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Starlink equipment.
