About The Position

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you install and service Starlink satellite internet for homes, including in rural and underserved communities. The role also involves helping customers get online and explaining how to use their new service. This position offers a career path to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with opportunities to develop technical and customer-service skills, take on more complex work, and increase earning potential.

Training and base pay begin at $17.00 per hour. The base rate increases by $0.50 after 60 days of employment. After training, technicians receive a guaranteed hourly rate of $20.00 through their first nine months. If the post-training base rate plus bonuses and commissions is below that guaranteed rate, pay is increased to meet it. Compensation also includes commissions and performance bonuses.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check.
