About The Position

This position contributes to Starbucks' success by providing legendary customer service and creating the Starbucks Experience. The Associate provides prompt service and quality beverages and products while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment, and models Starbucks' guiding principles. Associates may perform many different tasks during each shift and are expected to maintain regular, consistent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be available to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Provide quality beverages and food products and follow cash-handling and store safety and security standards.
• Communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers and respond to their needs.
• Prepare beverages according to standard recipes or customer customizations, including changes to temperature, ingredient quantities, or ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge in support of Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual events, keep the store operating to standard, and set a positive example for the team.
• Assist with training new partners by reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful, encouraging coaching.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and communicate changes in partner morale or performance to the store manager.
• Provide customer-first service, connect with customers, and discover and respond to their needs through clear and pleasant communication.
• Follow operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety and security practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Prepare quality beverages and food products consistently, following recipe and presentation standards, including customer-requested modifications.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational methods.
• Meet store operating policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as needed to meet business needs.
