About The Position
This is an internship position at Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), a global leader in the aerospace industry headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. P&WC manufactures next-generation engines for various aviation segments and has been recognized as a top employer in Canada and Montreal. The internship is designed for students currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at a Canadian university, offering an opportunity to develop skills and contribute to innovation. The role involves providing technical support to the Maintenance Reliability Service department, with the primary objective of assisting the team in achieving the Longueuil manufacturing center's 2026 targets through the introduction of new equipment.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Enrollment in a Canadian university for the full duration of the internship
- Ability to work on-site in the province of employment
- Advanced proficiency in French (spoken and written)
- Currently pursuing studies in engineering
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, Outlook, OneNote)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
Responsibilities
- Develop maintenance plans for new production equipment
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of equipment subsystems
- Analyze technical drawings and fluid system diagrams
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers to obtain documentation, critical spare parts lists, and quotations
- Develop and implement new maintenance procedures
- Establish maintenance plans aligned with P&WC standards
- Execute initial deployment of maintenance plans with mechanics and electrotechnicians
- Support the installation of new equipment
- Collaborate with other P&WC teams (Capital Group, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
- Support the team in achieving the Longueuil manufacturing center’s 2026 targets
