About The Position

The Staffing Specialist shall assist the Civilian HR Staff with drafting new vacancy announcements, recommending modifications or edits to existing vacancy announcements, and managing all related data in the automated staffing system. The Contractor shall ensure vacancy announcements are posted to USAJOBS and other relevant job boards. This role involves conducting job analyses to ensure vacancy announcements accurately reflect requirements, drafting recruitment actions with specified duty statements, qualification standards, KSAs/questionnaires, selective factors, weighting, and screen-out elements. The Specialist will also perform qualification analyses, generate synopses of best-qualified applicants, and coordinate with HR specialists and SMEs to define specialized experience requirements. Additionally, the role includes printing selection certificates from the automated system and notifying agency staff, as well as researching federal Government, DHS, and CG regulations, policy, and procedures to answer staffing-related questions.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of experience in performing staffing support services.
  • Experience with USA Hire and USA Staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Draft new vacancy announcements, recommend modifications or edits to existing vacancy announcements, and manage all related data in the automated staffing system.
  • Ensure vacancy announcements are posted to USAJOBS and, if appropriate, other job board sites.
  • Conduct job analyses to ensure the draft vacancy announcements enable Government personnel to determine an applicant's ability to satisfy vacancy requirements.
  • Draft recruitment actions and specify the duty statements, including qualification standards, KSAs/questionnaire, selective factors, weighting and screen-out elements.
  • Conduct qualification analyses and generate synopses of best-qualified job applicants.
  • Coordinate with CG HR specialists and SMEs to do job analyses and define specialized experience requirements.
  • Print selection certificates from the automated system (after they are approved by a Government HR specialist) and notify the appropriate agency staff to take action.
  • Conduct research into federal Government, DHS and CG regulations, policy and procedures to answer general questions from employees or applicants about staffing.
