We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator to support daily hospital operations by coordinating staffing assignments across multiple units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring appropriate coverage, supporting patient care needs, and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
2-3 years administrative experience required
Proficiency with office procedures and equipment i.e. filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
Ability to use phone system.
Managing one's own time and the time of others.
Strong verbal & written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills.
Ability to use standard office equipment.
Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily staffing assignments for Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) and resource staff across hospital units
Manage incoming staffing requests and prioritize needs based on clinical urgency and patient care requirements
Deploy patient observers and additional support staff as needed
Communicate staffing assignments clearly and confidently to both employees and unit leadership
Perform operational and administrative tasks within UKG and other workforce management systems
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
