About The Position

The Staffing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the growth and success of KVC Hospitals by ensuring all shifts are fully staffed and compliant. This position works independently to meet staffing needs while serving as a welcoming first point of contact for direct care candidates. The Staffing Coordinator partners closely with Human Resources to support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training efforts, while ensuring adherence to DOL and EEOC regulations. This role requires strong organization, professionalism, and confidentiality, along with flexibility to meet evolving staffing demands.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law required.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze staffing and hiring needs based on projected workload and client census.
  • Collaborate with management on any additional staffing requests while ensuring correct staff to client ratio each shift.
  • Collaborate with internal employees, as well as external sources such as temporary staffing agencies to ensure all shifts are fully staffed within KVC’s Staffing Protocol.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and utilize KVC’s shift management tool to ensure open shifts are communicated to eligible employees.
  • Create and maintains daily staffing reports/schedules.
  • Create and maintain current Position Control and/or FTE report.
  • Monitor overtime accumulation and report to leadership.
  • Track attendance points of direct care employees and report to management.
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers and may conduct interviews as needed.
  • Demonstrate and adhere to KVC Human Resources policies and processes involved with the recruiting, hiring and onboarding of employees, training, and staffing.
  • Ensure adherence to Department of Labor (DOL) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Regulations (EEOC).
  • Operate with a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Maintain current knowledge of job descriptions and ensure potential candidates for employment meet the education and experience requirements for which they wish to be considered.
  • Assist with the orientation an onboarding of new employees, explaining the requirements of work shifts and hours, as well as training new employees on systems or programs used to report work hours.
  • May assist as needed in the return to work program in coordination KVC’s Workers’ Compensation Manager.
  • May assist managers and supervisors with ensuring KVC’s leave process is adhered to and appropriate paperwork is submitted to Human Resources.
  • Assist supervisors and directors in verifying payroll accuracy by providing them with accurate attendance information.
  • Track and document all in service training sessions.
  • Additional duties may be assigned based on organizational needs and staff qualifications.
