About The Position

DNSFilter is seeking a Staff Technical Product Manager to own its endpoint protection platform: software deployed across customers’ laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. The role focuses on evolving endpoint protection as device activity expands beyond people browsing to applications, services, and AI agents. The successful candidate will be a deeply technical product manager who can take open-ended problems, shape them into deliverable products, and adapt plans as technical and product constraints emerge.

The position owns endpoint protection strategy, roadmap, and backlog across supported operating systems; AI activity governance; software behavior in customer-controlled environments; and decisions about inspection, logging, and data retention. It also involves shaping usable and measurable experiences, working closely with Engineering and Architecture, and representing the product to customers, partners, and prospects across enterprise, MSP, OEM, distribution, and direct segments. The role is full-time and remote, with a strong preference for candidates in the United States in Eastern or Central time zones.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of product management experience, including significant time working on security, networking, or endpoint products.
• Understand how traffic can be intercepted, inspected, filtered, or isolated, and the encryption and privacy trade-offs involved.
• Experience with software deployed on machines the company does not control, including MDM, RMM, scripting, software conflicts, VPNs, and unfamiliar networks.
• A point of view on protecting AI, including shadow AI use and visibility into activity by agents and tools on devices.
• Track record of taking an undefined problem through to a shipped product.
• Experience designing for technical users, including interfaces, reporting, and data that make capabilities usable.
• Comfort working hands-on with engineers and writing both roadmaps and individual work items.
• Habit of using AI to work faster, particularly Claude, and a clear understanding of where it is and is not useful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to executives, customers, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work hours overlapping with Eastern Time.
• Must be eligible to work in the region of hire without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Experience working successfully in a small- to mid-sized, fast-paced, hyper-growth SaaS startup or scale-up.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-tenant, white-label, or partner-delivered products.
• Prior engineering, solutions architecture, or security research background.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and modern product analytics and customer feedback tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and backlog for the endpoint protection platform across supported operating systems, bringing greater consistency across platforms where possible.
• Own the approach to governing AI activity on devices, including shadow AI use and visibility and control over agents and tools.
• Own how the software behaves in environments DNSFilter does not control, including deployment through MDM, RMM, and scripting, conflicts with other software, VPNs, and unfamiliar networks.
• Decide what the product inspects, logs, and retains, making encryption and privacy deliberate product decisions.
• Design the experience and data around each capability so features are usable, configurable, and measurable.
• Work day-to-day with Engineering and Architecture on feasibility, trade-offs, and sequencing; write the roadmap and individual work items.
• Represent the product with customers, partners, and prospects across enterprise, MSP, OEM, distribution, and direct segments.
• Participate in interviews.
