About The Position

The Staff Tax Accountant supports the Corporate Tax team in meeting the organization’s U.S. federal income tax compliance and tax accounting responsibilities. This entry-level role compiles and analyzes financial information, prepares workpapers and tax calculations, and supports income tax returns, estimated payments, extensions, quarterly and annual income tax provisions, and tax examinations. The accountant will work with experienced tax professionals, receive coaching and feedback, and build technical, analytical, and professional skills through a variety of assignments and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of U.S. federal income tax returns, related foreign information reporting, estimated tax payments, and extensions.
  • Compile, reconcile, and analyze financial accounting data; prepare well-documented workpapers; and assist with book-to-tax adjustments, taxable income calculations, and tax forms and schedules.
  • Coordinate information provided to external tax service providers, track requests and deliverables, and assist with reviewing work products for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations.
  • Gather and organize information for federal income tax examinations and assist in responding to information requests.
  • Perform tax research and summarize findings.
  • Partner with colleagues across Finance and other functional areas to obtain information and help ensure accurate, timely filings and deliverables.
  • Maintain organized documentation, communicate status and potential issues promptly, and take increasing ownership of assigned work.
  • Assist with various special projects.
