About The Position

Seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our multi-state retail operations. This role ensures accurate tax filings while optimizing tax positions within legal parameters.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Team player with ability to work independently

Responsibilities

Review and collaborate with external auditors to complete federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple retail entities
Manage monthly and quarterly tax provisions, including calculations and reconciliations
Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on company operations
Coordinate with external auditors during tax examinations
Maintain tax-related documentation and support schedules
Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize company tax position
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary tax information
