About The Position

LinkedIn is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Marketplace Integrity team. The team builds scalable systems, applications, data pipelines, and product integrations that use machine learning and statistical models to combat automation abuse, including scraping, AI-generated low-quality content, and automated-agent activity. Bot and agent detection is a key focus, involving state-of-the-art detection mechanisms and integrations with third-party vendors that provide telemetry, with systems designed to scale across LinkedIn products. This role develops and scales distributed applications and reliable, high-volume user-centric services. It includes making architectural trade-offs, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, and delivering high-quality software through testing, code review, and continuous integration. The engineer also provides technical leadership for large-scale, cross-functional, company-wide programs and identifies opportunities to improve engineering productivity. The position is hybrid, performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days according to team business needs. The pay range is $156,000–$255,000. Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation.
