About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. Requirements

Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and platform development to deliver high-quality solutions.
Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
Ability to integrate AI/ML components and develop intelligent automation using languages such as Java, Python, and Kafka.
Skilled in conducting design reviews, debugging, and applying data-driven decision making to optimize engineering outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions for long-term sustainability.
Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
