About The Position
Bloom Energy is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity, based in San Jose, California. This is a fully onsite, in-office role five days a week. The position reports to the Senior Director of Software Engineering. The engineer will implement cloud security, maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, secure infrastructure as code, automate compliance checks, enforce encryption, and support vulnerability management and incident response.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of experience in cloud security or DevSecOps.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; CI/CD; containers; and infrastructure as code.
- Strong Python and shell scripting (Bash) skills.
- Familiarity with software supply chain security.
- Understanding of standard SDLC practices.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
Nice To Haves
- Golang experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement cloud security, including IAM, network, secrets, and runtime protection.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning.
- Secure infrastructure as code using Terraform or Pulumi and automate compliance checks.
- Enforce encryption in transit and at rest.
- Support vulnerability management and incident response.
