About The Position

Groq is seeking a hands-on software engineer to architect, build, and scale the software connecting physical AI infrastructure operations with enterprise financial and business platforms. This is a software engineering role rather than a SaaS configuration or IT administration position; the role is expected to spend 60–70% of its time writing production code, designing system architectures, building APIs, and implementing automated data pipelines. The primary focus is connecting physical infrastructure lifecycles—including servers, racks, network inventory, and spare parts across procurement, assembly, data center deployment, and retirement—with Groq’s financial ledger in NetSuite. The engineer will own the architecture of integration services, custom scanning and asset applications, and event-driven workflows that reduce manual operational work. The role also covers production reliability and technical leadership: translating ambiguous operational and financial goals into software specifications and setting architectural standards for business systems engineering. The advertised U.S. total cash salary range, inclusive of potential bonus value, is $270,400–$318,100. International compensation varies by local market. Groq also offers a Long-Term Incentive Program and employee benefits. The position may require meeting applicable export-control eligibility criteria.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of dedicated software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production services and backend applications.
  • Advanced expertise in Python, Go, or comparable object-oriented or functional languages.
  • Mastery of SQL and relational database modeling.
  • Proven experience architecting scalable RESTful APIs, webhooks, microservices, and asynchronous event-driven integration pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing against ERP platforms; NetSuite experience through SuiteTalk, REST Web Services, or SuiteScript is preferred.
  • Ability to operate at an L6/L7 Staff level by independently turning broad, ambiguous business problems into resilient technical approaches.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building software engines for physical infrastructure, hardware supply chains, inventory management, or data center logistics.
  • Understanding of accounting flows, including fixed assets, inventory capitalization, depreciation, and SOX compliance controls.
  • Experience using modern AI developer tools, LLM integration patterns, or agentic frameworks in production.
  • Exposure to internal tooling frameworks such as Retool or custom React/Node.js dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain high-throughput production microservices and API integrations connecting NetSuite ERP with logistics, warehouse, data center management, and procurement systems.
  • Design data models and internal software tools, including mobile asset-scanning applications, to track physical hardware through assembly, deployment, maintenance, and financial depreciation.
  • Spend 60–70% of work capacity on hands-on software development using Python, Go, or modern TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Resolve schema and state mismatches across operational systems while maintaining data integrity and transactional consistency in NetSuite.
  • Build automation workflows using LLM APIs, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for reconciliation, document parsing, and exception handling with verification controls.
  • Own reliability, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, access security, audit logs, and monitoring for production software serving internal business customers.
  • Translate ambiguous operational and financial objectives into concrete software specifications and establish architectural standards for business systems engineering.

Benefits

  • Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program.
  • Employee benefits suite.
