CVS Health•Washington, NV
•$106,605 - $284,280

About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on technical leader to guide the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. The role connects backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, with a focus on optimizing Payer Operations by enriching Payer metadata, automating Payer lifecycle contracts, and measuring Payer performance. The engineer will lead development of interactive dashboards, resilient backend microservices, integrations with enterprise data and third-party systems, and AI-driven product features. The role also guides technical strategy, mentors engineering teams, champions DevOps practices, and supports operational excellence across the technology stack. Success requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to clarify vague requirements with stakeholders. This is a full-time position. The stated pay range is $106,605.00–$284,280.00. The position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program and an equity award target. The posting describes a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, based on eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building internal developer platforms (IDP) or self-service tooling for engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with data-streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for real-time integrations.
  • Experience with secure software development lifecycle (DevSecOps) practices and data compliance.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain and vector databases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web applications, including responsive frontends and robust backend services.
  • Architect and implement interactive dashboards and interfaces that present complex data insights intuitively, accessibly, and with high performance.
  • Design and develop secure, scalable APIs and integration layers connecting applications with diverse data objects, enterprise databases, and third-party platforms.
  • Integrate AI and machine-learning technologies into products, developing features that automate workflows and provide advanced data synthesis.
  • Drive continuous delivery and cloud-native practices; architect, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and performance-profiling standards; serve as an escalation point for complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers; establish coding standards and reusable design patterns; collaborate with product leadership on backlog grooming and the technical roadmap.
