Staff Software Development Engineer
About The Position

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a key member of a collaborative team responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of business-critical distributed systems. The role calls for technically strong, passionate engineers with an entrepreneurial spirit who can build and sustain innovative solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- Strong foundation in software engineering, including problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency.
- Experience as a polyglot software engineer, with experience in more than one of C++, C#, Java, Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational database management systems such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Strong experience with a cloud vendor: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures.
- At least 6 months of experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Experience with Kafka, REST APIs, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Experience with an application and performance monitoring platform such as New Relic.
- Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or a relevant professional qualification is preferred.
