About The Position

Provides professional primary nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and gynecological patients; medical/surgical overflow patients; and orthopedic patients. The role requires competence in duties specific to newborn, adult, and orthopedic patients. With training and on-the-job experience, the incumbent should become proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted RN license from North Carolina or a compact state.
• BLS certification.
• CPI certification required at the first opportunity after hire.
• Knowledge of NRP and fetal monitoring, and orthopedic-specific training, within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• MSN.
• National Board Certification in a clinical area of specialty.
