About The Position

The TSET Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at Stephenson Cancer Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Assistant to work on a variety of research projects involving physical activity and dietary behaviors, as well as mindfulness and wellness promotion among those living with and beyond cancer or having select neurological conditions. This position serves as the first point of contact for participants at the HPRC. Primary duties include participant recruitment, communicating with study participants, conducting data collection, record keeping, logistics management, data analyses, report preparation, and development of study intervention materials for a mobile application development platform. The Staff Research Assistant will work directly with principal investigators, study personnel, clinicians, and other researchers. There will be opportunities to contribute to scientific publications. This is not a biomedical/bench science position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Sociology, or a related discipline aligned with the specific area of research or project focus)
  • 1 year of experience supporting research or working in a laboratory setting
  • Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
