About The Position

The Hudson College of Public Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Assistant Supervisor to support one or more nutrition-related research projects involving health promotion opportunities for people at risk for or affected by food insecurity and chronic disease. The position serves as the first point of contact for potential participants and as a liaison between clinic and community partners.

The role works directly with senior research staff, principal investigators, study personnel, clinicians, and other researchers to accomplish project aims. It also supervises undergraduate research assistants and student interns. Experience in trauma-informed care and strong interpersonal skills for discussing sensitive topics with participants are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science, physical science, chemistry, or a related field.
• 48 months of research laboratory experience as a research technician or assistant.
• Experience in trauma-informed care.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to discuss sensitive topics with participants.
• Equivalency: 48 months of research laboratory experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree, for a total of 96 months of research experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for potential participants.
• Act as a liaison between clinic and community partners.
• Recruit participants and communicate with study participants.
• Conduct data collection, including surveys and non-invasive biomarker collection.
• Maintain records and compliance logs.
• Manage logistics and conduct preliminary data analyses.
• Prepare reports and develop study intervention components.
• Work with senior research staff, principal investigators, study personnel, clinicians, and other researchers to accomplish project aims.
• Supervise undergraduate research assistants and student interns.
