About The Position

Hartford HealthCare at MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for their Oncology units. This position offers opportunities to practice at the top of one's license, utilizing research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. The role includes clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities through an Oncology Nurse Residency program. Student nurses and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. MidState Medical Center is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • ASN/BSN
  • One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred, however Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Practice at the top of license using research, innovation and evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in clinical instruction and learning opportunities as part of the Oncology Nurse Residency.
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties.
