About The Position
Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Oncology Unit. This full-time, in-person position involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care to adult patients undergoing treatment for various cancer diagnoses and hematologic conditions. The unit specializes in chemotherapy administration, symptom management, pain control, blood product administration, palliative support, and patient/family education.
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred
- ASLS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
- Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
- Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
- Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
