Staff Psychiatrist - EPIC/CARES
About The Position
The Ventura County Behavioral Health Department (VCBH) provides mental health and substance use treatment services and plays an important role as an integrated component of the Ventura County Health Care Agency. VCBH provides support for individuals and families who are in crisis; people considering suicide; or those struggling with mental illness, substance use, or both. This position is part of the Community Assistance, Recovery and Empowerment (CARE) program, working 40 hours per week with an adult patient population in a field-based setting. The EMR system used is SmartCare. The caseload is 300 per 40 hours/week. Adult intake appointments are 60 minutes, and follow-ups are 30 minutes. This role serves County-based chronic patients. Spanish speaking is preferred.
