About The Position

Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) is a full-service county hospital offering a complete array of patient-centered health care services. Since 2008, CCRMC has provided a full range of psychiatric services including Inpatient, PES, Consult Liaison, Detention Facility, and Outpatient Behavioral Health. The Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are provided in the Pittsburg clinic, with coverage Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM on-site. Adult initial evaluations are 60 minutes, and follow-ups are 30 minutes. UR coaches are available to assist with paperwork, and nursing support is provided for medications and injections. The clinic staff includes clerks, a lead Psychiatrist, a program manager, Clinical Social Workers, AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) clinicians, and therapists. Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Valid medical license to practice in California.
Experience in adult outpatient psychiatric care.
Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM on-site.
Willingness to work with H1B and J1 Visa holders.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a county hospital setting.
Familiarity with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric services within the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Services at CCRMC.
Conduct initial evaluations for adult patients (60 minutes).
Perform follow-up appointments for adult patients (30 minutes).
Collaborate with UR coaches for patient paperwork assistance.
Work with nursing staff for medication management and injections.
Be part of a multidisciplinary team including clerks, a lead Psychiatrist, a program manager, Clinical Social Workers, AOD clinicians, and therapists.
