Staff Product Manager, Agent Connectivity

Temporal Technologies•Seattle, WA
•$160,000 - $262,500

About The Position

Temporal is evolving its durable execution platform to support AI applications, including agent workloads. As the Agent Connectivity Product Manager, you will help build Temporal’s Nexus connectivity layer so agents can connect to services and data. You will identify high-leverage investments, develop agent-specific capabilities and integrations such as an MCP connector and tool registry, and work closely with the founder/CTO and engineering team to bring products to market. You will own Nexus strategy and roadmap, turn ambiguous customer and market signals into product direction, and drive discovery, execution, launches, and enablement. The role spans foundational connectivity capabilities and agent-focused features, with an emphasis on customer problems, developer and operator experience, and measurable adoption. Nexus is moving from general availability toward broader adoption across teams, accounts, and use cases, with future opportunities including a connector ecosystem, Service Hub, and Agentic Communication Fabric. Temporal describes this as a high-impact role in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.

  • Experience at a startup, high-growth company, or in a similarly intense and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong product and operational judgment, ownership, resilience, customer focus, curiosity, and ability to move quickly across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer, field, and open-source community signals into product theses, product changes, abstractions, and platform investments.
  • Conduct upfront discovery and stay close to design partners and strategic customers, including Netflix, Duolingo, and Miro.
  • Drive completion of in-flight work, including the new Nexus developer experience, Standalone Nexus Operations, connector foundations, caller identity, rate limits, and payload encryption.
  • Balance SDK ergonomics, schema-first contracts, code generation, service discovery, security, visibility, and control-plane needs.
  • Help engineers and designers understand user needs and make strong product decisions.
  • Craft messaging for upcoming features and enable sales and marketing teams to communicate with and win customers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional launches and enablement so company teams understand Nexus and know how to sell, deploy, and support it.
  • Define success metrics, including activated accounts, completed Nexus operations, shared-service usage, SDK coverage, design-partner progress, and field readiness.
