About The Position

Oscar is hiring multiple Staff Product Managers to join its Product team. Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving its members. The company was founded in 2012 to create a health insurance company that behaves like a doctor in the family. Staff Product Managers will be considered for openings across the tech organization, specifically within the Core Insurance Platform and Network pillars. Core Insurance (Payment Integrity): The Payment Integrity team ensures that Oscar pays claims accurately, avoiding billing errors, coding mistakes, or fraud. The role involves owning the strategy and roadmap for a domain being reshaped by AI, combining Oscar’s core insurance technology platforms with LLM-powered medical record review, anomaly detection, and agentic workflows. The Staff Product Manager will partner with engineers, data scientists, clinical coders, finance, and vendor partners to reduce avoidable spend without adding friction. Network: The Staff Product Manager on the Network team will own the product strategy for the provider data reconciliation and quality platform. This role will transform the existing reconciliation engine into a transparent, operator-controlled system, empowering Network Operations teams to maintain high-quality provider data. Responsibilities include defining product strategy for provider data reconciliation, quality tooling, and operational configurability across credentialing, contracting, and provider data operations workflows. The role also involves driving explainability of complex ETL pipelines and reconciliation logic, enabling self-service operations, and partnering with data engineering to validate data models and translate technical concepts for business stakeholders. The Staff Product Manager will deliver visibility products to help Network Operations and downstream client teams understand provider data health, utilization patterns, and conflict resolution workflows.

Requirements

7+ years of product management experience.
5+ years of experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes.
5+ years of experience with tech systems and understanding basic technology infrastructure such as backend services, database relationships, and leveraging database tools such as SQL.
3+ years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives.
3+ years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps towards a solution, and successfully executing against that roadmap.

Responsibilities

Driving the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives by managing projects that will drive operational efficiencies and achieve key business objectives.
Partnering closely with stakeholders including cross functional department leaders across the business including Product, Design, Engineering, Network and Operations to define strategy and roadmap.
Collaborating with Engineering and Product leadership to make resource trade-off decisions and to ensure teams are working together effectively.
Provide recommendations to leadership for product enhancements to improve existing products and development of new ones.
Develop operating models for new products in partnership with leadership.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
