This role will manage da Vinci® Feature Sharing, Identification, and peer engagement features with the My Intuitive experience across the entire product lifecycle. The Staff Product Manager will develop and conduct market and user research, make product proposals, write product requirements, and lead the product through development and design stages. They will work with product marketing to ensure a successful launch and provide expertise throughout the entire product lifecycle. Collaboration with design and engineering teams, along with other internal stakeholders, is crucial throughout the product lifecycle process to ensure successful product launch and adoption. In the first year, the role involves assisting in managing the Feature Sharing, Identification, and peer engagement product roadmap and lifecycle in alignment with the da Vinci Platform and Case Insights Platform product objectives. This includes developing business justification for recommendations and gaining alignment across key stakeholders on project prioritization. The role will focus on the development of the Intuitive Telepresence Application (on mobile device). The Staff Product Manager will develop the business justification for new products and features by working with customers and company stakeholders, and conduct business analyses, including competitive assessments, to facilitate sound data-driven decision making. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative market research methods, along with direct customer interviews and observations, will be key to developing insights that inform the product roadmap. Requirements will be refined with feedback from customers, clinical sales, and clinical development engineering. The role requires leading cross-functional product teams including engineering, sales, and marketing to execute against the product plan. The Staff Product Manager will represent product management in the product development process, completing deliverables such as market requirements and product requirements documents, and facilitating tradeoff discussions with design teams while keeping the needs of the customer and the business in mind. Engagement with Human Factors and Interaction Design partners during the development process includes establishing design requirements, prioritizing design efforts, coordinating design reviews, and documenting and communicating design decisions. The role involves conveying the product value proposition to global marketing for global product positioning and messaging, and measuring product success by monitoring product adoption and seeking post-launch product feedback. A deep understanding of surgical treatments for applicable indications is necessary, including monitoring and consuming clinical literature, attending medical society meetings, and engaging with physician key opinion leaders (KOLs). Collaboratively developing global product commercialization plans with regional marketing and commercial teams is also a responsibility. Understanding competitive, emerging, and complementary technology and its potential impact on Intuitive’s product lines is important. The role will work with product engineering and business development teams to evaluate new technologies and prioritize the new business development pipeline. Monitoring and prioritizing product quality issues, and working on cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and critical customer issues are also part of the responsibilities. Additional activities across the product lifecycle as needed include participating in product education program development and supporting sustaining product activities, including end of life.
